Outdoor Route Weather Planner
Privacy policy and support contact for the Outdoor Route Weather Planner iOS validation build.
This app is local-first route and weather decision support. It is not navigation, rescue, medical, emergency, or safety-guarantee software.

Data We Do Not Collect
- No account is required.
- No tracking data is collected by the app developer.
- No exact-coordinate analytics are collected.
- No location history is stored.
- No current-location permission is requested in the current validation build.
- No cloud sync or cloud database is used in the current validation build.
Data Stored On Device
The app stores the current trip plan, checklist state, and local notes on device. Imported GPX, map-selected route points, and typed-search results are used only as part of the active trip plan. Delete local trip data clears local trip state and active-trip samples.
Provider Requests
Typed place search uses Apple Maps only after the user submits a query. Live weather refresh runs only when the user taps refresh in Trip Review. The request uses the active trip's sampled route points and selected time window. The app does not run background weather polling.
Current live weather uses Open-Meteo Forecast and Open-Meteo Marine. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com is licensed under CC BY 4.0. Free Open-Meteo API use is non-commercial and rate-limited; commercial or wider public release needs a reviewed provider or commercial-use path.
For sampled US coast routes, the app can run an optional foreground check for NWS active alerts and NOAA CO-OPS tide context after the user taps the Trip Review control. The app does not run background official-source polling, create a route history, or collect exact-coordinate analytics.
Safety Boundary
The app helps review a planned route, activity, and time window. It does not replace official warnings, local expertise, boating or navigation rules, rescue services, or emergency guidance.
NOAA/NWS and NOAA CO-OPS context is provided only as decision-support context. NOAA/NWS does not endorse this app, Internet delivery is not guaranteed, and tide context is not navigation clearance, depth assurance, or a safety guarantee.
